My name is Carmita Williams and my niece is a 1st grader at this school. Her mom(my sister) told me she made student of the month and I was able to go to the school website and see her. So thank you. I live in Indiana so I haven't seen my niece in quite a while and it was so nice seeing how much she has grown but still has the same smile. So, again, thank you.

Floated upon this site as I attended Mason in the good old days. I am sharing this with my children who are 18 and 13. Is there an alumni site,etc.? My husband served in the US Army for 12 years and has taught school here at Ft. Hood, Texas for 7 years. I taught Pre-k-1st grades for 12 years then moved to a private middle school for 2 years and taught jr. high. At the present time I homeschool our 7th grade daughter. Panama city, Central America, Feb. 2nd 2008. My name is Liderfonso González, surfing on the web I found the Mason Elementary website. I decided to see what it had when I Saw the Hispanic heritage day link and got surprised when discovered panamanians students dancing our traditional dances. I feel proud about these panamanians who don't forget their roots. Greetings to them an greetings to you that celebrate our heritage. I attended Mason Elementary school from 1989-1996. Since then I have moved to El Paso, Texas; graduated top 10 in my senior class at Americas High School in 2002, and will be graduating tomorrow from the University of Texas El Paso with my Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a minor in English and American Literature. Looking back, I can say that I had a great start here at Mason Elementary. I can still remember all my teachers names, and I see that some are still teaching here. So if you read this: Thank you to Ms. Boler, Ms. Stapleton, Ms. Sheppard, Ms. Wade, Ms. Daniels, Ms. Smith, Ms. Dean, Ms. McAlpin, Ms. Williams, Ms. Pyatt, Ms. Wright, Ms. Henley and Ms. McKinley all for giving me an great start to my education that has helped me get to where I am today.

I had some wonderful years at Mason Ele. School... I miss the wonderful teachers that taught me. Like Mrs. M. Daniels... I had her for 4th grade and 6th Grade and she was a WONDERFUL teacher. I learned alot of stuff from her!!! I also miss Mrs. D. Singley and Mrs. M. Robinson. They were all good to me and I miss all of them so much.... Love, Shelby Watts.... I went to Mason from 1964 to 1969. My first grade teacher was Mrs. Odom. It was also a good school way back then!

Through our wonderful years in the Laurel School District we have come to realize how much we really appreciated our time we spent at Mason. Mason was a wonderful learning experience for us.
