A message from the principal...
Hello and thank you for visiting the Oak Park Elementary website. Our new year's resolution is set to words in 2013 -"We Will Win" by leading with our hearts and data. It is my sincere hope that every educational resource is an easy find. As you peruse our website, you will find exciting information about our students at Oak Park Elementary, 'The Oasis of Teaching and Learning." Oak Park has a rich heritage that is known and embraced by the world. My name is Tito Lanier and I am enjoying my 4th year serving as principal, of this historical gem that have had voices and learning echoing from the walls and halls along with renowned performances, which have resonated from the stage and applauses that have subsequently followed since its commencing. I love working and collaborating with the students, administrators, teachers, paraprofessional, staff, parents, and community constituents.
As we continue to reach for the tools and build capacity to continue this legacy, our challenge is to provide instruction that is not only relevant, engaging, and meaningful, but that is also rigorous and inviting to prepare our students to be competitive in the years to come. We must increase their understanding of the content that we teach them so they can better apply themselves in real world situations. We are the home of famous success stories that will continue to be read and remembered by alumni, community members, and staff.
Again, I depend on the communication of our superintendent's office, students, teachers, paraprofessional, staff, parents and community constitute to help us become better in the academic arena. We employ excellence in every area counting on all stakeholders to guide us as we develop and improve the way we do things. I am excited to serve as leader of the best school in the North, South, East, and West where teaching and learning is TOP priority. If you are not involved, I encourage your participation and support as we continue to strengthen our quest for a Second to None learning organization. Don't forget and remember that together, we make a difference.
Called for a purpose,
Tito T. Lanier, Principal
