Message from Principal

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at Nora Davis Magnet School, a Model School for the Mississippi Arts Commission. We look forward to an exciting school year! 

We are proud of our unique approach to education, which balances high academic achievement with the social, cultural, physical, and creative needs of the “whole child.” Through arts integration and infusion, we teach our students to become proficient readers and writers as well as to think mathematically and become better problem solvers. Last school year, kindergarten, first, and second grades implemented the Common Core State Standards which allowed our students to successfully compete with students throughout other states. As school begins, we are prepared to implement those standards in grades three, four, and five. 

Working together with parents and the community, we can ensure success for all our NDMS students. Please let us know if we can ever be of assistance. We look forward to an exciting and rewarding school year!
