
The Laurel High School recently inducted the 2009-10 LHS Chapter of the National Beta Club officers and members. Throughout the school year, the Laurel High School Beta Club will participate in a variety of community service activities. The students collected toys and candy for children in the hospital during Halloween, conducted a canned food drive for the Salvation Army, and hosted a teacher appreciation breakfast in October. The students will also sort food for the Salvation Army, ring the bells for the Salvation Army kettle fundraiser and deliver socks to an area nursing home.
The students will attend the Mississippi Beta Club Convention in Tupelo in February.
