Barbara Patton-Boyd is not only a committed church member and Ellisville State School employee; she is an actively involved parent, who recognizes the benefits of being an involved parent. For her dedication to Nora Davis Magnet School, she was chosen as the school’s Parent of the Year and was recognized by the Laurel School Board on April 10.
The mother of fifth grader Krawford Boyd, she has served as a chaperone for school field trips, is a member of the Parent Teacher Association and Parent Advisory Council. She has been an active supporter of many school-related events.
Principal Kathy Stennett said, “She is not only concerned for her child but all the students in the Laurel School district. Thank goodness for parents such as Mrs. Boyd.” |
