To assist students in need, Susan Mangum and Brandiilyne Irvin of InMOTION Fitness organized a backpack drive at the business located in the North Laurel Shopping Center. Through their efforts and the generous donations of the gyms patrons and community members, over 70 backpacks were delivered to Mason Elementary School for distribution to children in need.

“We here at InMOTION Fitness love our community and we want to help make it a better place,” Irvin said.

“We began to ask for backpacks and they just came pouring in,” Mangum added. “We were so excited to see how many people came and donated. It was inspiring.”

With this year’s drive being a huge success, InMOTION Fitness hopes to continue by making the backpack drive an annual event.

“We are very thankful for the fitness center’s generosity and willingness to assist our students,” said Dr. Ken Culpepper, principal. “We look forward to partnering with InMOTION on future projects that make a difference in the lives of students.”
