Welcome to 4 year old Kindergarten!!!

My name is Mrs. Stephanie Smith, and I will be your child's teacher this year. Mrs. Elaine Boone is my wonderful assistant teacher.  We are looking forward to an exciting and enjoyable year with the students in our classroom.  We consider it a pleasure to help make this year a valuable learning experience for your child.  I truly believe that together, we can make a difference in your child's life and supply the knowledge needed to be successful in 5 year old kindergarten!

To give you a little bit of personal background, I am a resident of Laurel and a 2003 Laurel High School graduate.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.  I have been teaching for 4 years and have LOVED every minute of it!

We are very energetic and will provide your child with the best learning experiences possible.  We have many new and fun ideas to help your child learn all the skills they need to know this year.

 We realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility.  We will do our best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom.  However, I cannot do this alone: We need your help.  We both need to be involved in the learning process.
