Laurel High students selected for Governor's Teen Council

Families First for Mississippi recently selected two Laurel High School juniors to serve on a statewide panel, Healthy Teens for a Better Mississippi. Kimberlynn Mai and Nadia McKenzie will serve alongside 42 student representatives on the Governor’s Teen Council. They will be tasked with leading campaigns within the school and community to encourage positive behavior and healthy choices. Nadia McKenzie is a member of the band, choir, Student Council, Beta Club, Key Club and is a Superintendent’s Scholar and Junior Class President. Kimberlynn Mai is a member of the Key Club, Student Council, Beta Club and is a Superintendent’s Scholar and Junior Class Vice President.
