Laurel High School is pleased to announce the 2017 Homecoming Queen, Court, Football Sweethearts and more.

Laurel High School’s 2017 Mr. Football is Juan Nelson. He is a member the Golden Tornado Football Team, Track Team and Student Council. He is the son of Melissa Nix and the late Juan Nelson, Sr. After graduation he plans to attend Alcorn State University where he will major in sports medicine.

Laurel High School is pleased to announce Mr. and Miss LHS 2017. Miss LHS Taylor Reed, the daughter of Earl and Odessa Reed, plans to attend Alcorn State University where she will major in nursing. She is a varsity cheer captain, member of the Beta Club and serves as student body president. Mr. LHS Pierre Andrews, the grandson of Elner Andrews, plans to attend Jackson State University where he will major in civil and environmental engineering. He is a member of the Tornado Marching Band, Boy Scouts of America and serves as senior class president.

Laurel High School is pleased to announce the 2017 Honorary Homecoming Kings Isaiah Andrews and Derrione Mosely. The kings were escorted by LHS School Board Liaison Jessica Thompson.

The 2017 Little Tornadoes are two-year-old Brock Hall, son of Broderick and Belinda Hall; and three-year-old Lauryn Portis, daughter of Demetris Ramsey and Rico Portis.

The 2017 Laurel High School Homecoming Queen is Alaina Rowze, daughter of Rodney and Elaine Boone and the late Mize Rowzee. She is a member of the LHS Choir and Beta Club, and serves as senior class president. After graduation she plans to attend Wharton County Junior College in Richmond, Texas where she will major in radiology.
