LMS track team ends season with three overall championships

The Laurel Middle School track team completed a successful season with three overall team championships and a host of individual awards. The team was named Meridian High School Little Wildcat Meet Middle School Boys Champions, East Mississippi Middle School Boys Champions and also finished first overall in the Petal Middle School Meet. The team also had two second place overall finishes. Serval team members are ranked in middle school track in the state of Mississippi. Kanarius Johnson is ranked number one in 300-meter hurdles, Keontee McGriff is ranked number nine in 1600-meter run and 11th in the half-mile run, and Jaret Mota is ranked 19th in the half-mile run.
