Mason students create hats to commemorate eclipse

On Aug. 21, students at Mason Elementary School worked on art projects related to the solar eclipse. The total solar eclipse was the first for the U.S. mainland since 1979. Mississippi was in the path of a partial solar. Many students in the Laurel School District viewed the solar eclipse from the safety of their classroom via NASA’s online live feed. The kindergarten students at Mason created hats featuring the earth, moon and sun.
