NDMS student art to showcase in Jackson

The artworks of several Nora Davis Magnet School students were recently selected to exhibit at the Mississippi Arts Center in Jackson.  The artwork will be on display as part of the Magnificent Masterpieces Showcase on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The works of art to be featured are Prince Buxton’s “Eagle’s Nest,” Ella Bergin, Fincher Trest and Lucy Rasberry’s “Flowers in a Vase,” Josie Watts’ “Second Grade Feelings,” Taylor Hosey’s “Portrait of a Girl,” Maddie Malcolm’s “Astro-Cat,” and Kimora Garner’s “Jungle Cat at Night.” The showcase will feature artwork from Whole Schools Initiative Member Schools from around the state. Nora Davis Magnet School has been a Mississippi Arts Commission Whole Schools Initiative School since 1999, a Model School for the Arts since 2003 and recently received Exemplary Model status.
