New superintendent welcomes students back to school

To welcome students back to school following the holiday, the Laurel School District’s new superintendent, Dr. Toy L. Watts, visited schools to meet students for the first time. Watts joined the district on January 1, 2018 as superintendent in charge of the district’s seven schools and 3,175 children. During her visit around the district, she was able to see classrooms in action as she prepares to set goals for the remainder of the school year.
