Students awarded at District Reading Fair

Students from Laurel's elementary schools and middle school recently participated in the District Reading Fair. Those placing first will represent the district at the regional reading fair in Hattiesburg.

The Laurel School District is proud to announce the 2018 District Reading Fair first place winners for the sixth through eighth grade Group and Family Division. From Laurel Middle School, Alliyah Johnston and Aubrey Hearn placed first with the book “Bridge to Terabithia.”

The Laurel School District is proud to announce the 2018 District Reading Fair first place winner for the third through fifth grade Group and Family Division. From Nora Davis Magnet School, Elise Lee placed first with the book “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” 

The Laurel School District is proud to announce the 2018 District Reading Fair second place winner for the third through fifth grade Group and Family Division. From Mason Elementary School, Yazmin Mix placed second with the book “Pinkalicious: School Rules.”
