Principal Christie Beeker

Mason Elementary School Principal

Christie Beeker began her career in education as a seventh and eighth grade English teacher. Prior to coming to the Laurel School District in July 2018, she served as a seventh, eighth and ninth grade English teacher and administrative intern. She is currently the principal of Mason Elementary School.

She received a bachelor’s degree in secondary English and English language arts from the University of Alabama, master’s degree in reading specialist from Jackson State University and specialist degree in instructional leadership from the University of Mississippi.

Assistant Principal

Blair Lenoir

Blair O’Keith Lenoir began his career in education as a first grade teacher. Prior to joining the Laurel School District in July 2019, he worked as a teacher, and academic and behavioral interventionist. He is currently the assistant principal at Mason Elementary School.

He received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Southern Mississippi, Master of Education from William Carey University and Educational Specialist from Delta State University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

“My love for education started when I was in primary school. I loved coming to school every day, and I still enjoy coming to school to this day. Education is my calling and my passion. My number one goal is to facilitate a school learning environment that is safe, engaging, and fun for both students and teachers. I love working in education because I get to impact the lives of students and teachers.”
