Laurel High School basketball standout Zoey Cooley signed a letter of intent with Jones College. Cooley serves as captain of the volleyball, basketball and softball teams, and is Student Council vice president. She is a member of the tennis team, Ivy Pearls of Hattiesburg, Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America and HOSA. She has been a Kiwanis Club Student of the Month, a page at the Capitol for Senator Juan Barnett, and was name Miss LHS. For her basketball talent she was named to the Mississippi North/South All-Start Team, named District Best Defensive Player and received best defensive award, game changer award and best rebounder for LHS. She plans to major in accounting.
