All Laurel School District hybrid students at Laurel Upper, Oak Park Elementary, Mason Elementary and Laurel Magnet schools will return to traditional on February 22, 2021. Laurel Middle School and Laurel High School will remain on the hybrid schedule.
With our younger students experiencing difficulty with online learning, and our state currently seeing a decline in coronavirus cases, we feel it’s time to bring our elementary students back for in-person learning. Wednesdays will remain early release days, and only those students notified by the school will attend on Wednesdays.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and make decisions accordingly. We ask everyone to continue wearing a mask and social distance, and we encourage parents to not send children to school who are not feeling well and seek medical guidance. We must work together to keep our schools safe.
