On Thursday, August 26th, Laurel High School transitioned to virtual classes due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Due to this transition, all varsity sports are now canceled until Thursday, September 9, 2021.
According to the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA),
if a school is 100% virtual all games scheduled during school closure will be forfeited.
Students will return to in-person learning on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
All scheduled varsity games will resume upon the return to in-person learning.
