The Laurel School District invites parents and guardians to participate in an upcoming Tornado Talk virtual session with Dr. Courtney Swan. The session will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be held virtually through Webex.
This important session is designed for parents and guardians of students in
Pre- Kindergarten through 12th grade. During the discussion, participants will learn how to recognize warning signs of emotional distress in children and gain insight into ways families can provide support when students may be struggling.
Dr. Swan will share helpful tools, resources, and practical strategies aimed at helping families better understand and support the emotional well-being of their children. The goal of the session is to equip parents and guardians with knowledge that can help keep students safe, supported, and successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
