Dr. Tricia Pittman

Dr. Tricia Pittman began her career in education as a Biology teacher. Before coming to the Laurel School District, she was a Special Education teacher, Student Service Coordinator, and Instructional Facilitator. She brings with her 14 years of education experience. She is currently the Student Service Coordinator for the Career and Technical Center (CTC) at Laurel High School.

She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of South Alabama, a Master's Degree in Special Education, a Psychometry endorsement from William Carey University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.

"I love working in education so much that it is hard to consider what I do a job. Over the years, I have enjoyed building lasting relationships with my students and their parents. The everyday opportunities to inspire students to become lifelong learners make my calling to be an educator worthwhile. As educators, we have the possibility to change the trajectory of a child's life for the better."
