4-year-old Pre-Kindergarten
The Laurel School District offers Pre-Kindergarten programs at Oak Park Elementary School and Laurel Magnet School of the Arts.
To qualify for the Pre-K (4K) program in the Laurel School District, the child must:
- be four years old on or before September 1, 2024
- reside within the Laurel School District
- be fully toilet trained
Parents of 4K students will not need to go to their child's school until placement information has been received via email later this summer.
Once applications are received, the district will make placements, and parents will be notified via email this summer with placement information, including how to officially register for school.
There is not a separate 4K application for LMSA pre-k.

El Distrito Escolar de Laurel ofrece Programas de Preescolar en Oak Park y en Laurel Magnet School of the Arts (LMSA).

5-year-old Kindergarten
Beginning March 25, 2024, for 5-year-old kindergarten, you will take your child's birth certificate, form 121 and two proofs of residency to Oak Park Elementary School to receive an Active Code and instructions necessary to complete the online registration process.
