Laurel Magnet School of the Arts Principal
Dr. Kiana Pendleton began her career in education as an America Reads tutor in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to coming to the Laurel School District in April 2018, she served as a teacher, interventionist and district reading specialist. She is currently the principal of Laurel Magnet School of the Arts.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tougaloo College, Master of Science in mass communications from Jackson State University and a Doctorate of Philosophy in educational administration from Jackson State University.
